For male, if you want to be polite, you have to use ‘krub’at the end of sentences.

Tones
Thai is a tonal language. There are five tones consisting of middle, low, falling, high and rising tones as shown in the table below. If the tone is wrong, you will not be easily understood even if everything else is correct. For example, the word ‘beautiful’ pronounced ‘suay
’ with a rising tone, your voice starts at a low pitch and goes up similar to when asking a question in English. Whereas the word ‘bad luck’ pronounced ‘suay’ with a middle tone. In this lesson, we will use tone marks as M, L, F, H, and R over each word to represent low, falling, high and rising tones respectively.
